Ever installed a Shopify app and removed it later?

By and large, chances are the code is still knocking around in your theme files. 

One of the biggest issues with uninstalling Shopify Apps is that once you've "removed" the app, the app developer no longer has access to your theme files and couldn't even remove their code if they wanted to. 

Now, multiply this by maybe 20... or 30 apps. 

That's a lot of old, useless files knocking around that are probably still trying to fire off requests. 

We're going to take a look at your theme file, compare it with the apps you actually have installed and actively use, and then remove the old app files still hanging around totally unnecessarily. 

Better yet, we'll conduct a process we call "conditional loading". 

 

– What the heck is conditional loading?

Apps do not need to load on every page of your website. 

For example, if you have a subscription app, then it's highly likely you only need that app to run on your product pages.

Having that app load on your homepage, collection pages, blog pages, FAQ pages, and so on is a complete waste of resources and putting an unnecessary load on your users' device. 

We'll make sure only the apps that are required on each page are the ones that actually load. 

Fewer apps loading = faster website for you.
